Multitude Bid Farewell to Late Esther Halle
A multitude of friends and relatives from Cameroon and abroad joined the family of Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle, September 12 at the Presbyterian Church Santa West to bid farewell to Ma Esther Maforna Halle who journeyed to the Lord on August 14, 2009.
The Moderator of the PCC, the Rt. Rev. Nyansako Ni-Nku who officiated at the funeral programme thrilled the multitude with a divine sermon which reminded people that death is inevitable. The man of God noted that from available facts, late Ma Esther lived a successful life. He said people who had been close to Ma Esther attested that her generosity knew no boundary adding that “considering that death is inevitable, people should live in a way that when they depart from this world, others should have reasons to celebrate like the celebration that day for Ma Esther who left positive marks as a loving, hospitable and God fearing mother”.
Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle, addressing the population recalled that the family had nothing to regret about the departure of their mother because she lived “a successful celebrated life”. She taught them to be humble, generous and above all God-fearing, which are prerequisites of life. Such virtues, Ntumfor quoted, will remain part and parcel of their lifestyles.
Thanking the multitude who answered present and contributed for the success of the historic crowd-pulling event, Ntumfor Nico Halle asserted that the death of their beloved mother who had a faultless lifestyle was a call for celebration and not mourning. He used the occasion to extend a message of peace, love, harmony, humility and God-fearing to all those present for the event to say adieu to their mother.
Present at the funeral amongst others were Governor H.E Fai Yengo Francis, Littoral Region, Prof. Mbangwana Paul University of Yaounde 1, Dingha Ignatius, Yaounde , Nfor Musa Shey CAMCCUL President, Hon. Achidi Achu, John B. Ndeh and a cross section of Fons. Commiseration messages from external and internal dignitaries were recorded from the U.S Ambassador to Cameroon, Nigeria High Commissioner, Donga Mantung Journalists Association, - DOMAJ, The SUN and CAMESEJ. The celebrated late Maforna Esther Halle who died at 85 lives behind 9 children and 26 great grand children.
