Interview With SDF Chairman, Ni John Fru Ndi

Ni John Fru Ndi, Chairman SDF

Of recent we have been on the field and we have always been on the field. We are working with the people; we are educating the people why we do not for instance accept ELECAM. It is not just saying no, no. We are on the field telling the people that ELECAM is going the same way like NEO. When the SDF rejected it, they said they will bring back territorial administration, the DOs etc and these are the principal election riggers. In Santa, I sat and saw how the Subdivisional Officer wrote the results in pencil and gave the SDO. He came down here changed them as much as he could change but there was no way. Before we went for elections we had a meeting with Mr. Marafa Amidou at the Congress Center in Yaounde and I told him that I know you people, I know your system, you have the results of these elections already in your cupboard.

MEMORANDUM BY SDF TO UN SEC. GEN.

Your visit constitutes a momentous event of far reaching magnitude. It offers us an exceptional and invaluable opportunity to commune with you especially as you have arrived Cameroon at a very crucial moment in the history of our dear country when we are fast approaching 2011, the year during which the Presidential Election will take place. There is every indication that this Election will not be free and fair because Elections Cameroon (ELECAM) which was supposed to be an Independent Electoral Commission has, through Governmental manipulation, been rendered an empty shell existing only as a meaningless legal instrument for the purpose of deceiving international institutions, friends of Cameroon and the world at large. CPDM Joins SDF To Celebrate Anniversary
Amidst speculations that enthusiasm and support towards the Social Democratic Front, SDF, Party, in Kumba were on the decline, the twentieth anniversary celebrations have proved the contrary. As if to dispel any lingering doubts as to its superiority in Kumba, militants and supporters trooped out en masse to celebrate the party’s birthday. A huge convoy that included motorcycle riders and cars filed through the major streets in Kumba. The other twist to the celebrations was the remarkable presence of a top ranking CPDM official in the celebration hall. During celebrations the message of the National Chairman, Ni John Fru Ndi, was read by the National Organising Secretary and Kumba II Mayor, Mr Asapngu Ferdinand. The message focussed on the continuous struggle for democracy in the country and the party’s achievements in enforcing freedom of the press and expression in Cameroon. read more...

The Mezam III CPDM Section in Bali, has declared an endless campaign for more militants for the CPDM in that Sub-Division. The strong campaign for more militants was launched at the Bali Council Hall May 19, 2010 by the party’s executive. The Mayor of Bali Council, Mr. Raymond Gwanyala clarified that the meeting was aimed at welcoming new converts into the CPDM party. While welcoming new members claimed to have decamped from the opposition, T-shirts were distributed to those converts for the 50th anniversary celebrations. Mayor Gwanyala, welcoming the new converts noted that they decamped to the CPDM after comparative analysis. He hinted that the massive streaming into CPDM was because people have discovered what President Biya is doing to the Bali people. The Mayor boasted of a modern council storey building he is now using and the new market for Bali which couldn’t have been in Bali two years ago thanks to the CPDM government. read more...
